FAQ

Please read our terms and conditions before purchasing a ticket.

What to bring for entry to the event

To participate in Bake Fest, each attendee must bring:

  • Valid ticket (printed or digital)

  • One whole cake per paid ticket, with allergen label

  • Cake server / knife

Do I have to bring a cake to attend?

A ticket alone does not guarantee access to the event, you must bring one whole cake (minimum 6 inches) per paid adult ticket to attend the event. It can be home baked or shop-bought!

What kind of cakes can I bring?

Any kind, either homemade or store-bought, minimum size should be 6inch. (No cheesecakes.) We would love to see how creative people can be with their cake layers, fillings and decorations!

Food handling & safety

We advise that all cakes are prepared and transported safely. Cakes should be stored in a way that prevents spoilage or contamination. Items with perishable ingredients (e.g. dairy, fresh fruit, whipped cream) must be kept refrigerated before the event and safely transported.

Do I need to label ingredients?

Yes please, we will not be able to include cakes that do not have an allergy card! For allergy awareness, we ask that you provide a list of ingredients or major allergens if possible, including if alcohol is used.

Allergies / dietary restrictions

Attendees with allergies or dietary needs participate in the event at their own risk. We require all cakes to be clearly labelled with allergens, and alcohol, but we cannot guarantee there is no cross contamination. Bake Fest are not liable for any allergic reactions, or food borne illnesses.

Will there be vegan/gluten-free cakes?

As the event is all about the cakes brought by attendees, it depends if attendees bring them! If there are any, we’ll do our best to ensure these are in one particular section to make them easier to find but we can’t guarantee cross-contamination safety.

Is the event family-friendly?

Kids are welcome but we kindly ask they are supervised at all times, especially around the cakes. Children under 12 do not need to bring a cake. (Limited tickets for children).

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately the event is not suitable for dogs.

Waste Management

We kindly ask all attendees to ensure they clean up any rubbish and ensure all belongings are taken with them. If any cakes are left over, you are welcome to give more of it out and/or can take it back home.

What happens if I can’t make the event anymore?

Unfortunately tickets are non-refundable or transferable.

Is there parking?

Yes, pay and display parking is available onsite. Operating hours are usually 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday, although these do vary. Outside of operating hours, on Sundays and on Bank Holidays you can park in any pay and display bay for free.
